SOLO Telecommunication, Inc. has been providing diverse client businesses with telecommunication services since 1992. Our founding partner, Arthur Blank, has more than 50 years of experience in finance, sales, and marketing. He has spent more than 10 years on Wall Street where he was involved in new issues, mergers, and acquisitions, institutional sales, and management.
After leaving a successful career on Wall Street, he pursued his entrepreneurial interest and founded an industrial real estate firm, which he owned and operated for over 17 years. His clients included 10% of Fortune 500 list of companies. Numbering among those clients were Levi Strauss & Company, Bausch & Lomb, General Electric, the states of New York and Delaware, the United States Defense Department, to name a few. He has dealt with high level senior management all over the world, and has served as expert witness for Digital Equipment Corporation, General Electric and Bausch and Lomb, among others.
Mr. Blank has pushed his entrepreneurial interests toward the telecommunications industry, where he has started up a successful long distance reselling business as well as a prepaid telephone card business. He has also initiated the concept and discussions on the prepaid dial one service with Bell Atlantic (Verizon).
He is married, currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has two grown sons and enjoys golfing, skiing, mountain biking and flying. Mr. Blank was Board Chairman for ten years for Big Brothers/Big Sisters Colorado Springs and participated as a board member for the national memorial for the Fallen Firefighters Foundation and was a consultant to Celebrate Technology Week, where he was one of the founding executives.
Mr. Blank holds a BS in Commerce from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and a MBA in Finance from Columbia University in New York. Mr. Blank served in the United States Army Counter Intelligence Corps, specializing in counter-espionage in the Far East.
